The Short Figure 4 Control – An innovative and tight control grip for No-Gi BJJ
The Short Figure 4 Control – An innovative and tight control grip for No-Gi BJJ
The Short Figure 4 is a modification of the classical Kimura Grip. While the classical grip is
controlling the wrist of your opponent, the Short Figure 4 is controlling the arm directly at the
elbow joint. That makes the control much tighter and leaves your opponent less space to escape.
3rd degree Blackbelt Björn Friedrich is explaining to you how to use the Short Figure for to
enhance your Back Control Position. Learn how to break your opponent's posture and use the grip
to set up various Submissions.
In the second part, Björn is teaching applications from the Turtle Position. Learn how to combine
the Short and also the Reverse Short Figure 4 Grip with all the classical Grips like Seatbelt, Nelson.
etc.
You will also learn how to set up classical Submissions like Mata Leao from the Crucifix or the
Bulldog Choke by using this new and innovative control technique.
If you are looking for a strong and easy way to restrict the movement of your opponent in No-Gi
this series is for you.
